About me
I’ve always considered myself a “jack of all trades, master of none” when it comes to my artistic endeavors. My name is Gabriella Duah, and I am what people might call an artist. However, I don’t view myself as simply a painter or a drawer. I see myself as a creative. I stopped chasing the dream of being a traditional artist long ago because I couldn’t find a specific niche that truly satisfied me.
Over the years, my passions have shifted and evolved—from creating decor pieces for my ever-changing room, to upcycling fabric and paper bags into dresses*, to experimenting with jewelry design. I’ve never felt the need to commit to one medium or style, because my creativity is fluid, and I’m drawn to whatever inspires me in the moment.
Some might say being a “master of none” isn’t something to be proud of, but I disagree. My ability to channel my creativity into different areas of life has made me a more versatile artist and has enhanced both my career and personal passions. One of those passions is StudioTalks.
Throughout my life, I’ve turned almost every space I’ve lived in—whether it’s my kitchen counter, my backyard, my basement, or a cramped college dorm room—into an art studio. When inspiration strikes, I have to create, no matter where I am. StudioTalks is my way of documenting that creative journey. It’s where I’ll share my newest paintings or my newest obsessions. I seek inspiration everywhere. So StudioTalks is going to be my virtual diary and virtual talk show. A place for me to talk about what I am loving, hating, making, and more. So, if you are reading, hope you are inspired…

Background
In May of 2024, I graduated from Boston College with a degree in Communication and Marketing. I am currently working at a Marketing agency in Boston. Before coming to Boston, I grew up in a small town in Upstate New York with my parents and two brothers. A lot of my upbringing has influenced my art, especially my background of being half Ghanaian and half Lebanese!
